8 imperialist countries (Germany, France, USA, Japan, Canada, Italy, Great Britannia and Russia) which control more than 50 % of the world trade and which have a share of 65 % in the world's total production will come together on 6-8 June. This kind of meetings in which the presidents and the prime ministers participate has been being held every year since 1975. Coming together every year, these imperialist countries discuss about the international economical, political -and related to this- military developments behind the doors and try to understand each others' attitudes. The dimensions of the integration and the separations in world policy are tested in these meetings and the balance of powers in the fields where the interests contradict or conflict on the questions about the world economy is measured. The countries which are defined as G-8 are the countries which have the capacity of re-sharing the world and of developing geopolitics.
For the purpose of finalizing the meeting in June without any "bad surprises", the meeting area has been enclosed with a 2.5-metre-high and 16-km-long wall and thus it has been turned into an "unconquerable fortress". The most luxurious hotels have been reserved for the comfort of the international "high officials". The expenses have already passed 110 million euros.
These plunderer countries present the issues, which are already on the agenda of everybody, as if these are new and they elaborate them with the perspective of re-sharing the world.
This time, the protection of the climate, atom energy, "struggle against terrorism" and the problems of Africa will be on the agenda. Under the direction of the demands of the international monopolies and regarding the balance of powers, they will discuss about who will intervene until where, how the raw material resources in this or that country/region will be plundered and what kind of a military intervention will be carried out in which regions. The reason why they have taken Africa on the agenda is not that more than 1 billion people is starving. Africa is on their agenda, because they want to share the wealth of this black continent (uranium, gold, petrol, diamond, copper and etc.) and they make some experiments of war for a certain time such as those in Somalia, Sudan and Congo.
They will have an "exchange of opinions on the strategies to reduce the global inequality". Another agenda of this year's meeting will be the exchange of opinions on the "measures to be taken to improve the systematic stability and openness in the financial and capital markets. Is seems that the implementation of the actual neoliberal policies is not sufficient for them. It is necessary to expand and deepen further the functioning in the actual financial and capital markets in order to plunder the world more and more. In this sense, big "duties" fall upon the shoulders of the World Trade Organisation, IMF and World Bank.
This time, the summit is being held under the conditions where it is being more and more accepted that the US imperialism and its allies are being defeated in Iraq and gradually in Afghanistan and where it is being seen that the resistance will conclude with a victory.
This time, the summit is being held under the conditions where the domination of the US imperialism in the Middle East pass through a period of weakening and this will inevitably affect the interests of all the imperialist countries in this region.
This time, the summit is being held under the conditions where the conflict with Iran on the issue of atom energy has sharpened. This time, the summit is being held under the conditions where The European Union has been giving the steps of reconstructing itself as a military force and organising its military existence to use it in the struggle for hegemony. For this reason, the US imperialism will have to regard the phenomenon of a strengthening EU in this summit.
We have been witnessing every day that the political and economic results of the internationalisation of the capital and the production id imperialist war, occupation, threats and the increase of poverty in one side and wealth in the other side. The contradictions among the imperialists has so much sharpened that most of the countries which come together as the G-8 is inside a war in this or that manner or their armies are involved in occupations. The contradictions and the competition among the imperialists have reached to such dimension that several wars and occupations are continuing in different parts of the world at the same time and the preparations of new occupations are on the agenda. While the occupation and wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and Somalia continue, it is only a question of timing to wage a war against Iran and to occupy Sudan.
Iraq, Afghanistan, Nepal and Latin America! Anti-imperialist struggle increases in almost all parts of the world against imperialism; against imperialist war, occupation, threats and neoliberal impositions. Regional and world-wide anti-imperialist alliances and the searches foe unity take more organised shapes. Progressive, anti-US, anti-imperialist governments such as those in many countries of Latin America come to power.
It is a reality that the Islamic world has entered a process of political and military struggle against imperialism, and at first, against US imperialism, since the 11 September attacks and since the attack of the imperialist bourgeoisie against Afghanistan and Iraq under the name of "struggle against terrorism".
This time, the summit is being held under the conditions where this struggle sharpens and deals blows to imperialism and this fact makes all the imperialist countries brood deeply.
The G-8 countries want to act as if they form a "world government", but the contradictions and competition among them hinder their act in common. For now, they fight among each other in an indirect manner; they continue their competition within the framework of "diplomacy" and on the base of forced conventions based on the balance of powers. They have caused/are causing directly or indirectly more than 60 regional and local conflicts during the last few decades. They try to decide the future of humanity in the direction of their own interests.
The protests developing against this kind of summits, such as those in Seattle, Prague, Istanbul and Jutebourg create fear and panic among the organisers of these summits. This year also, extraordinary measures were taken under the name of the security of the summit; houses and organisations have been raided in many cities weeks before the summit, several people have been arrested and the arrests continue. Supposedly, the borders were abolished within the EU, but we see that the German state has suddenly started to control the borders under the pretext of the security of the summit.
It is not enough to come together for separate actions and to give a struggle against imperialism, limiting oneself with some certain dates. We are in face of the task of putting an end to the organisationally dispersed situation in the anti-imperialist struggle and to unite all the possible forces in regional and international organisations.
Imperialism and the neoliberal attacks make the problems of the working class and the labourers more and more common. The task that falls upon the shoulders of the communist and revolutionary forces at first, and all the progressive and anti-imperialist forces, is to continue the struggle not only by coming together from action to action, but also through permanent, continuous organisations. The objective reality of today's world demands this from us. Ten thousands of people, hundred thousands of people and yes, totally, millions of people who come together against IMF, World Bank, WTO, imperialist war, occupation and threats, G8 summits and etc. show clearly that the anti-imperialist struggle must be carried out through the organisations that cross the national borders. The masses show that they are ready to get organised and to continue the struggle in an organised manner. If the case is to have an alternative, our only alternative is to organise the anti-imperialist struggle on the international level and to raise the banner of proletarian internationalism.
There cannot be an anti-imperialist struggle without any perspective. The goal of the anti-imperialist struggle cannot be limited with stopping the neoliberal attacks and turning back to the "state of welfare". An anti-imperialist struggle is a struggle which is desired by the pacifist and reformist forces and the forces of the world and European Social Forum. Under the banner "Another world is possible", these forces try to keep the anti-imperialist struggle within the borders of the bourgeois system and to limit it with being a struggle for the "state of welfare".
Anti-imperialist struggle must be carried out with the perspective of throwing down the imperialist system which imposes continuous wars, occupations, misery and poverty to the worlds' peoples and the working class. There is no doubt that another world is possible and it is the historical mission of the working class and an essential task of the communist forces to turn this possibility into a reality and to give the increasing anti-imperialist struggle a perspective of taking the political power all over the world. This "another world" is the socialism which is the alternative of imperialism. Working class and the labourers should continue their struggle against the imperialist forces by raising the flag of socialism which is the bright future of humanity.

Down with imperialism; long live socialism!
Long live the proletarian internationalism!
Another world is possible; the only alternative is socialism!
