In the coming period, this political development and administration in Western Kurdistan will obviously grow the fight in Northern Kurdistan and will signify an indirect pressure and siege over the colonialist regime. Under the conditions of a regional war and polarization, new relations, balances and alliances of powers will open an important process for the self-determination of the Kurdish nation.

We have been witnessing two important political developments that push the colonialist fascist regime in Turkey into great tension, fear and worries: The first one is the revolutionary process experienced and the announced democratic autonomy in Western Kurdistan (Syrian Kurdistan) in relation to the developments in Syria. The second one is the authority established and the land supremacy achieved through the guerrilla struggle formulated as "revolutionary move" in the rural side of Semdinli in Northern Kurdistan and the fact that thus the will of war of the Turkish bourgeois army has been eroded, broken and recoiled once more in July 2012 after the Zap resistance in 2007.
In Western Kurdistan, the Kurdish people have formed their own governments in the cities and have started to govern themselves. In this sense, a revolutionary process is being experienced in Western Kurdistan and this situation is carried out under the conditions of the civil war in Syria to high degree. Two factors play a role here: firstly, the 30 years of struggle carried out by PYD (Party of Democratic Unity) on the line of PKK in Syria, Western Kurdistan; secondly, the clever and incisive political tactics practiced by the same party in this period.
The announcement of the of the democratic autonomy in Western Kurdistan and the fact that this has found response in political, social, economic, military and cultural spheres and has started to be put in practice has created great enthusiasm and excitement in the four parts of Kurdistan and has been a source of motivation for carrying the national freedom war forward. Maybe for the first time in the history, the Kurds have the ground, opportunities and conditions of achieving a political status at such level. For this reason, this development in Western Kurdistan has raised the possibilities for self-determination of the 40 million Kurdistani people in the region and has increased the struggle for this aim.
Undoubtedly, these developments on historical, regional and strategic levels signifies important historical and political opportunities and conditions for PKK, which has been giving a freedom fight in the region for 30 years and has turned into a political and military army with this purpose. Hence the tactic of "holding lands or war plan based on land" is being put into practice successfully. The guerrilla move that started on July 23 has continued in form of the tactic of "hit-and-stay". In Dersim, the guerrilla groups arrested Huseyin Aygun, MP from the bourgeois party CHP , for warning in the same period and have set him free two days after. In Semdinli, another group of guerrillas has met a delegation of revolutionary and progressive party leaders including also a group of MPs. Thus through the "land-based-war" they have achieved political and military supremacy on the land; the Turkish bourgeois army of war has failed to get a result despite its huge military force, heavy weapons, fighting aircraft, technical equipment and the intelligence support of the United States and the regional powers. The "revolutionary move" of Semdinli has brought into open once more how artificial, baseless and formal for Kurdistan the borders drawn by the imperialist forces in the Agreement of Lausanne are. It has drawn attention to the fact that the colonialist regimes (Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Syria) have split Kurdistan by political compulsion and colonialist policies.
Through this revolutionary move, PKK has spread the war to Turkey (the actions in Kayseri at a police station and in Foca at a military vehicle) and has intensified it in Semdinli and thus it has played a deterrent and sanctioning role over the colonialist Turkish bourgeois state that has been planning occupation and attacks against Western Kurdistan.
Another reality is that the Turkish bourgeois army of war has closed into the stations and garrisons and looks like a classical occupation army, not being able to spread its forces to the land, under the conditions of revolutionary authority and supremacy, in face of the revolutionary move and siege of war.
The announcement of autonomy in Western Kurdistan was expected by the colonialist fascist regime. Hence the reason for the fracture in its policies towards Syria was the fear it had for new political developments and political status that would arise in this region. Its relations with the Muslim Brothers organization, which is the foremost among the opposition forces in Syria, has been dealt with in relation with the necessity of Sunnite Islamist polarization and collaboration in the region on the one hand and with hindering the steps that would be taken by the Kurds for their freedom in Syria on the other hand.
The plans and policies of the colonialist regime in Western Kurdistan for establishing a buffer zone in Western Kurdistan can be carried out only with the approval and support of the international and regional powers. The danger of getting stuck into a quagmire of regional war also makes it hesitant.
MLCP defends the self-determination right of the Kurdish nation. And it believes that only this principle can lead to the full equality of rights of nations and languages. It considers the fight of the oppressed Kurdish nation for this goal as its own fight, expresses that the fight for this goal is evolving into a historical turnout, takes place in this fight in every sphere and calls upon the peoples for international solidarity.
Tens of thousands of sons and daughters of the Kurdish nation have turned into martyrs and tens of thousands of them have been captured in the great national awakening, resistance and action for 30 years. This nation is determined to govern itself. And it will achieve this. World communist and revolutionary movement and the oppressed nations and peoples of the world should give hand to this voice and action of the Kurdish freedom movement that plays a revolutionary and historical role in the Middle East.
