Since July 23 until today, clashes between the People's Defense Forces ( HPG ) and the colonialist fascist Turkish army continue in the region of Şemzînan ( Semdinli )in Northern Kurdistan. However, it is not only clashes but a new form of action carried out by the Kurdish guerrilla. Die HPG defines its operation in the region which started with controlling the roads as "siege".{divide} An area about 30 km is for days under the continuous control of the guerrilla and more and more posts have been taken over by the Kurdish Guerrilla every day. Next to the hills Goman, Gostê, Karker dominating the region also the hills Geniş hill and Konserve hill, which were hold by the Turkish army last year, are under the control of the guerrilla. The border post Konserve hill (Gediktepe) has become famous because prime minister Erdogan and former chief of general staff Basbug who is in prison now, posed there for the press attempting to show strength, but in vain!
Despite the high technology war planes and artillery the colonialist Turkish army is donated with, the Turkish soldiers are trapped in their posts unable to carry out a military operation on the ground or even to move. The roads are also under the control of the guerrilla, thus the fascist regime is also not able to send more soldiers into the region. The intense air attacks also remain ineffective due to the air defense by guerrilla units.
The colonialist fascist Turkish army and the regime are totally shocked; for more than 10 days a vast area is under the control of the guerrilla forces, the new directive is not anymore "strike and disappear" but "strike and stay"! In the first days of the attack it was expected that the guerrilla would retreat to save regions after the strike like it was the case at other big actions like in Bezelê, Oramar and Ştazan, however all this expectations were wrong, this time they stayed! The guerrilla fighters said in an interview with Firat news "this is only the le le of the matter, there is also a lo lo".
