Sedat Selim Ay has tortured, raped, let disappear and assassinated numerous revolutionaries and communists when he was in a leading position of the Team 3 of the Anti Terror Bureau of the Istanbuler police. {divide}
He is one of the slayers of our comrades Hasan Ocak and Suleyman Yeter, he took part in the rape under detention of Asiye Zeybek Güzel and he has brutally tortured dozens of comrades of our party.
Despite more than one sentences of Turkey before the European Court of Human Rights due to crimes of Ay and sentences of Ay by Turkish courts, the Turkish bourgeoisie always protected her torturer. After some period of service as chief of the anti terror department in Diyarbakir, now the torturer "SS Ay" has been appointed as deputy chief of the Istanbul Police Department`s Anti-Terror Bureau and thus again a criminal has been rewarded for his services to the fascist colonialist dictatorship.
Many protests are voiced against the award by the AKP government of the torturer and rapist SS Ay are voiced by women` s organisations, human rights organisations and political parties. Together with many others women of the SDP , EMEP , ODP , SKM and Imece, the bar association Diyarbakir, the BDP , which made a inquiry to prime minister Erdogan and the Association of Contempory Jurists (CHD), which started a petition collecting signatures, protested against the appointment of SS Ay demanding his dismissal.
