On March 5, another young man was extra-legally executed by the police of the colonialist fascist dictatorship of Turkey. The 21-years-old Mahir Zorbey Demirkaya did refuse to return from a leave to the military service in the fascist Turkish army he was doing in Erzincan and therefore he has been sentenced to 10 month of prison in absence and a warrant of arrest was issued against him. When he was detained in the city of Aydin being accused for another reason, this tuned out and he was sent from the police to the court, which decided so sent him to prison. {divide}
In front of the court building, the police opened his handcuffs to let him hug her mother before being sent to prison. It was claimed by the police that Demirkaya tried to escape and it is a fact that he was shot dead hit by a bullet directly in the head from the police-man M.S. Later, the murderer claimed "I stumbled and the weapon went off". However, Hürkan Demirkaya, the younger brother of the young man shot dead by the police, was an eyewitness of the murder. He said: the policeman directly targeted the head of my brother. Nothing like falling down happened". Ibrahim Demirkaya, the grandfather of Mahir Zorbey Demirkaya also said: "my grandson was shot purposely and willfully. The pretext of a chase and a gun which went off after falling down is absolutely wrong. If the policeman would have shot while being on the ground, the bullet would have hit somewhere near the ground. But how come, that the bullet hit his head in a hight of 1 metre 75 centimetre? It is obvious, that this happened purposely."
The policeman M.S. was detained, however released by the court. Mehmet Tursun, the father of Baran Tursin, who was also killed by the police on November 25 in 2007, stated that the pretext and excuses of the police are always the same and the judges accept these statements. Moreover, the BDP MP of Agri Halil Aksoy sent a motion about this case to the fascist minister of internal affairs Idris Naim Sahin demanding answers from to several questions concerning this case of extra-legal execution.
