A historical action has been carried out against the denial and annihilation policy of the colonialist fascist Turkish state. The Long March that was organised in order to raise a voice from Europe in side of the struggle in Turkey and Northern Kurdistan against the counter-revolutionary attacks has left important experiences to the European peoples and public opinion, too, and has been a first experience in that sense. Determination, faith, power of resistance, defending attitude and solidarity has been materialised. Our party has joined this action with the perspective of united revolution and it will increase the struggle against the colonialist fascist regime with the same perspective and determination in the coming period, too.

The Kurdish people continue their resistance against the 80-year-old denial and annihilation policies of the colonialist Turkish fascist regime and pay high prices. AKP and Tayyip Erdogan, who carry out their fascist repression and attacks by deceiving the masses and the world public opinion under the so called Kurdish Initiative, continue these attacks at the highest level against the Kurdish politicians, progressive, revolutionary and socialist people. Almost 50 people a day is being arrested and imprisoned through the operations launched under the accusation of KCK membership. Today these operations function as a real state terror against lawyers, journalists, writers and intellectuals. Together with the imprisonments of the last five months, the number of those who have been put in prison through the KCK operations has raised to 7 thousand.
Thousands of people are kept in prisons for many years on the base of the Anti-terror Law. Elected Kurdish MPs such as Selma Irmak are not able to carry the will of the people to the Congress because they are in prison. The repression caused of isolation and the Treatment in the prisons of Turkey still continues. The national leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan is kept under heavy conditions of isolation by being hindered from seeing anyone for 7 months. The attacks on the political prisoners increasingly continue. The colonialist Turkish state accelerates a total war against the working class and the oppressed, the Kurdish people at the first place.
In Roboski village 34 civilian Kurdish people were killed through the bombing of the warplanes those landed off under the direction of the general staff. Chemical weapons were used against the guerrilla forces of the Kurdish freedom struggle and tens of guerrilla fighters were killed. The dirty war methods implemented in 1991-1993 have been put into action again and are being used against the guerrilla forces and the Kurdish people.
The history of massacres KATLİAMCI TARİHİ of the colonialist fascist Turkish state has become clear once more with the human bones those have recently been found in the mass graves, such as those in Ickale in Diyarbakir, at the place which used to be a headquarter of the JITEM . The destiny of the disappeared people comes to the open with the discovery of these graves. Despite the fact that the dirty war policies of the 90s are disclosed by the mass graves, the policies and measures of denial and annihilation against the guerrilla forces and the Kurdish people continues SON HIZIYLA.
The Kurdish people and their friends, who are resisting these attacks of the fascist Turkish regime, try to carry their struggle to the agenda of the public opinion in Europe, too. A call of struggle against these attacks was made through the Long March which was started by KON-KURD, the umbrella organisation of the Kurdish Federations in Europe, in Ginebra/Switzerland on January 31 and finalised through a magnificent rally in Strasbourg/France on February 18. By challenging the coldest conditions of winter of the last years during 18 days under the slogan "Status for Kurdistan, freedom for Ocalan", the Kurdish people and their friends became the symbols of will and determination. The long March started with a demonstration on January 31 in Ginebra. Our party MLCP joined this march with the conscious of defending the freedom struggle of the Kurdish people. While the total number of the participants of the march never fell under 200, our party, with its flags and banners, with the leaflets broadly distributed, has denounced the colonialist fascist regime and showed in practice that it is a ÖZNE of the freedom struggle of the Kurdish people.
Intellectuals, writers, politicians and journalists living in Europe also joined the Long March, which arrived at Strasbourg with the determined and resistant power of the freedom column ENCABEZADO by women. The freedom marchers walked for totally 470 km passing through Ginebra, Nyon, Morges, Lausanne, Bern, Burgdorf, Langenthal, Olten, Lietal, Basel, Colmar, Mulhaus and CENEVRE. They carried their demands to the agenda of the public opinion at every stage of the march, especially in Switzerland, through different activities such as demonstrations, podium discussions and diplomatic meetings.
At this action important values were also created by walking shoulder on shoulder. The Long Marchers, including the militants of our party of course, were learning as marching, and at every step they give, they were feeling the warmness of the struggle for freedom in their hearts. From the old to the young ones, some despite his physical incapacity, some despite different diseases, they passed over the forests and mountains with determined and confident steps despite of the cold weather up to minus 20 degrees, experiencing the honour of giving a voice to the just struggle.
The collective living organised in the form of communal life, the understanding and style of having a word to say at every moment of the action and solving the problems through common decisions were of course very teaching in terms of showing the organised power of action. In this sense, determination, self-sacrifice and the way of organising were the main characteristics of this action. During all this process, our party called through leaflets and various speeches for increasing the struggle for freedom against denial and annihilation. Our party joined the action determinedly from the beginning till the end with the perspective of increasing the struggle shoulder to shoulder with the Kurdish patriotic movement in practice and has presented a mass participation in the final demonstration in Strasbourg, at which totally 60 thousand people participated.
A representative of our party MLCP addressed to 60 thousand people at the demonstration. He started his speech by saluting the Long Marchers and drew attention to the international dimension of the complot against Ocalan. He stated that Ocalan has been resisting against the isolation for 7 months and the USA and EU keep their silence at this dirty war against the Kurdish people, including the complot at the first place. Our representative said that these imperialist states still remain silent despite the use of chemical weapons in Kurdistan and added that they will not be able to hide the reality by closing down Roj TV. Our representative also mentioned the repression and imprisonments by AKP against the Kurdish people, intellectuals, politicians, lawyers and the press and he said that the Long March and tens of thousands of people who gathered in Strasbourg represent a good answer to these attacks. He expressed that this is the start of standing up and that this points at the way passing through the 8th of March, Newroz and Mayday. He concluded his words with the wishes of success ("Serkeftin!") in Kurdish, and thousands of people saluted him with ZILGIT and slogans.
