For Freedom of Speech, Action and Organisation: Let's go to Ankara!

On 22nd June, the third court hearing of the trial against the people of ESP detained on 7th December 2004 will take place in Ankara (see also International Bulletin no 29, 30, 32). After already the majority of the accused had been released from prison on the court hearings on 11th March and 27th April because of the claims being untenable, the campaign for the liberation of the 11 people from ESP who are still in prison and for the stay of proceedings against all the 46 people from ESP goes on under the slogan of "For Freedom of speech, action and organisation!".

While this trial against ESP continues, the wave of arrests and the conspiracy of the police goes on. On 26th May the police attacked many flats in the city of Bursa and arrested 15 people from ESP accusing them of "having participated in Mayday and having shouted slogans". The people of ESP defended their participation on Mayday and underlined that such attacks cannot intimidate them.

We call upon all communists, revolutionaries and progressive forces to show their solidarity with the ESP. Let's confront the conspiracy of the fascist dictatorship with our international solidarity on 22nd June! Let's go to Ankara!
