New skulls found at a mass grave in Amed

In addition to 15 human skulls found recently at the former JITEM interrogation base in Ickale / Diyarbakir (Amed) during the restoration work going on at that area, it has been learnt that 4 more skulls have been found there. Despite, the struggle of the human rights defenders and the families of the disappeared revolutionaries, the state forces and juridical authorities refuse to give information about the investigation that was started after the discovery of the skulls. {divide}
The Diyarbakir Branch of ESP made a manifestation on January 22 about the skulls. They demanded that the mass graves should be opened and the responsible ones should be judged. Members of KESK and the leaders of the Association of 78' gave support to the action. They reminded also the mass graves found in Silopi and Guclukonak districts of Sirnak.
The Dersim Branch of ESP made a press statement with the same agenda on January 23.
It was also learnt that the bones belonging to 18 different persons found in Mutki district in Bitlis last year were disappeared, too. 12 of them were secretly buried while the Institution of Forensics in Istanbul gives no information about the other 6. Even the bones of the disappeared disappeared again.
