On October 3, the SGD organized a street action protesting against the antimissile shield to be constructed in Kurecik in Kadikoy-Istanbul carrying a banner saying "Do not set up the shield for nothing, we will tear down it anyway". The SGD wanted to march towards the local AKP building, however the police stopped them. {divide}Thereupon, the youth made their action at the crossroad Altiyol shouting slogans like "We will not become a shield of imperialism".
On October 6, the activists were again on the street in order to protest against the antimissile shield. This time, they tried to occupy the building of the AKP in Kadikoy and to put a banner there. After clashes, 4 activists of the SGD have been taken into custody brutally by the police.
