The Socialist Party of the Oppressed has made a statement calling the people to act against the planned deployment of missile defence shield in Turkey. The ESP said that the government is trying to deepen its collaboration with the US imperialism by abusing the anger of the people against Israeli Zionism. The ESP expressed that the AKP government and the military generals has made this move in order to get the actual support of the US imperialism to destroy the national democratic movement of the Kurdish people. The ESP reported that the recent air bombings and the preparations for a ground attack on Southern Kurdistan are the proofs of this. {divide}
Besides, the ESP started a campaign opening tents for peace in different districts of Istanbul to call the Turkish people to defend the peace against the new war of the AKP government on Kurdistan. The slogan of this activity is "No death of young people. Put an end to this war".
