The people's uprisings demanding freedom, equality and justice in Northern Africa and Arab peninsula have kicked out the decades-long dictators in Tunisia and Egypt. It spread to all geography. The process still continues by civil wars and imperialist interventions in Libya, Yemen and Syria.
The people's will and action has come to being as a changer power in the region and gained some political outcomes. Now the Middle East is a new Middle East. In there, the people's will and action is now being taken into consideration as well as the oil and imperialist rivalry. The statue qua in Middle East is showing change of tendency; the process bears dynamics, opportunities and conditions of change and transformation. The US and EU imperialists, the Russia and China imperialists, regional powers, Islamic movements, revolutionary and progressive parties, they are all intervening within the process in accordance with their own interests.
Whatever the occupant imperialist forces has done in Iraq and Afghanistan, they are doing it today in Libya under the umbrella of UN and NATO. They are in preparation of an imperialist intervention and encirclement on Syria and later on Iran. Under new conditions, they are trying to reshape Middle East through regional and strategic politics. The aim of the military intervention in the region is not only to reinstall imperialist hegemony and abolish all political and economic obstacles before the movement of the imperialist capital, but, at the same time, to pull radical Islamic forces by cooperating with them to the "moderate Islam" line and to prevent possible regional revolutionary development. This represents the fear from the storm of regional revolution.
The regional and strategic policies of the US and EU cast special role on the colonial Turkish state. This is the case both because it's a regional and military force, a Muslim country and of an Islamic government such as AKP is on the power and it presents itself as the model of "moderate Islam".
Thus it has once more came to clear that AKP government's expression of its external policy for many years as "independent", "dynamic", "zero problem with neighbours" is, in fact, an imperialist dependent policy.
Just few months ago Turkey had announced that it will create "common market" with Syria, Jordan and Lebanon by lifting visas and that it will either take side with Iran or be neutral on the nuclear crisis. And it was foreseeing a common war against Kurdish guerrilla struggle based on Turkey-Iran-Syria alliance. But, upon talks and negotiations with the US, the Middle East uprisings approaching to Syria-Turkey border and the reality that imperialists could leave alone even their own collaborators have forced AKP government to support US policy on Iran and Syria. In return it has waged a new offensive against Kurdish freedom movement under the intelligence, war plane and military support of the US. The massacre of 12 guerrillas in Sirnak in May was realized upon US intelligence.
The colonial fascist regime and AKP war-government, which will get the support of the US and EU imperialists, prepares for a dirty war against Kurdish people after the 12th June general elections. Fascist regime's calls for ceasefire, meetings with A. Ocalan, Kurdish leader, and promises for a new constitution which would solve the Kurdish question are nothing else than a hypocrisy. The real policies of the colonial regime are constructed on the basis of delaying the Kurdish freedom movement and liquidate it. This is proven by its military concentration and attacks, and imprisonment of thousands of Kurdish civilian politicians through KCK operations.
However, today the Kurdish freedom movement is much more powerful, organised and prepared. The revolutionary action of the people of the Middle East is a source of strength for all region and Kurdistan. The election blocs and successful election campaigns in the west of Turkey, the togetherness of Kurdish freedom movement with the workers' movement on 1st May of 2011; realization of a revolutionary-progressive front is an important development in terms of togetherness of Kurdish freedom movement and revolutionary socialist movement. And again the withdrawal of YSK (Supreme Electoral Council) vetoes against certain candidates through the strength and pressure of the Kurdish people's revolutionary action is another example. The Kurdish people will have the strength and opportunities to reach freedom on revolutionary and popular path by the international support of revolutionary and progressive forces.
