The AKP government lead by Prime Minister Erdogan does not only attack the Kurdish people fighting for their national rights but also the Turkish and Kurdish workers in Turkey and their trade unions. On August 22, outsourced workers of the Balcali Hospital in Adana made an action inside the hospital campus in order to hinder the new agreement between the hospital administration and the outsourcing firm. Some 300 out of 700 outsourced workers joined the action. The leaders of the trade unions SES and Dev Saglik-Is were also present in the action. Police attacked the workers and arrested 25 workers, among them trade union leaders. Arrested workers have been set free on August 24, while the trials among them will continue with demand of imprisonment for violating the Law of Meetings and Demonstrations.
