The raids were carried out at 2:00 in the morning on May 10. The police broke the windows of the Rights and Freedoms Association and threw gas bombs inside the office. After that, broke the doors and rushed in. The members of the association protested the raid shouting slogans. Similar raids were realised in the other offices. Also some houses were raided by the police. As the pretext of the raids, the police claim a relationship between these organisations and the revolutionary clandestine organisation DHKP-C.
The People's Front and many other revolutionary organisations made protest actions in Istanbul, Eskisehir, Mersin and various cities against the police terror and demanded the release of the arrested revolutionaries.
