Due to days of protests in Egypt, Hosni Mubarak has cancelled the current government. And given promises for a new government; that has reforms for unemployment and the poor. A well known female journalist, Tavakel Karman, who was arrested during the demonstrations, was released after angry reactions by protestors. Karman upon her release said "until Ali Abdullah Salih's regime falls we will continue." She also gave calls to turn February 3rd to a day of rage.
Yemen is a poor country. Half of the 23 million people living in the country have a daily wage less than 2 dollars and live under the hunger line.
