The members of the Peace Group, who departed from the Mount Quandil and from Maxmur and entered Turkey at the border crossing-point Habur on October 19, 2009, have been put behind bars. The Turkish bourgeois state is intensifying the siege of the Kurdish liberation movement. At the hearings before the 4th, 5th and 6th Heavy Penal Court in Diyarbakir on June 17, 10 peace voluntaries were put behind bars and arrest benches have been issued for 3 of them. The members of the Peace Group repeated in the court that they do not regret their actions and they do not apply to the Repentance Law.
Recently, the spokesperson of the Peace Group Mehmet Serif Gencdal, who departed from Quandil, was also put behind bars by the Penal Court of Diyarbakir.
