State terror against People’s Front

In a detention terror against Halk Cephesi (People's Front), 17 revolutionaries have been imprisoned. During June 15-17, police raids with use of long barreled arms and masks in Ankara, Istanbul, Manisa and Izmir, 30 revolutionaries have been detained. During police detention, the revolutionaries have been exposed to physical torture and the houses have been devastated.
The pretext of the detention was the participation in the memorial act at the grave of Guler Zere, a revolutionary prisoner ill with cancer, who had been released from prison due to struggles undertaken and lost her life shortly after having been released. Another pretext is having commemorated the revolutionary leader of the 70ties Mahir Cayan at his grave and the participation in the activities of Newroz and other actions and activities.
In Izmir and Manisa, 2 of the 8 persons detained were put behind bars. 28 revolutionaries detained in the context of the operations in Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir were brought before the 11th Heavy Penal Court on June 18, 2910. The Court decided to imprison 15 revolutionaries, the trial for all of them continues.
