During the International Weeks of Struggle against Forced Disappearance actions were realised in Izmir and Ankara, too. On May 19, ESP activists made a statement in Izmir demanding the conviction of former Prime Minister Tansu Ciller, former Deputy Chief of Police Mehmet Agar, who had been responsible forces during the period when forced disappearances were applied in masses, as well as the retired Gendarmerie General Veli Kucuk. The ESP activists carried the pictures of the disappeared and also demanded to find the disappeared and convict all responsible forces.
Another action was realised on Yuksel Street in Ankara on May 18 by the IHD . The activists demanded the conviction of Mehmet Agar, Tansu Ciller and the former OHAL Governor, who have been responsible for the disappeared.
