Massacres by Sri Lanka state against the Tamil people continue

The Sri Lanka army is realising a mass massacre against the Tamil people. 2,600 Tamil people were said to be killed as a result of the bombings by the Sri Lanka army within the last days. It was also announced that at least 47 people were killed and nearly 2,000 injured when a hospital was attacked last weekend. Together with these attacks, the number of Tamils killed within the period from New Year's Eve until now has risen to almost 10,000 while the number of the injured is around 20,000. These attacks and massacres that have the characteristics of genocide show that the attacks of the Sri Lanka state to annihilate the Tamil people and guerrillas will continue. The Sri Lanka state rejects the calls for ceasefire by the Tamil guerrillas and insists on unconditional surrender.
Besides, Tamils living outside Sri Lanka continue with actions to protest the massacres. They organise different actions such as marches, rallies and meetings and also realise hunger strikes and death fast s to draw attention to the human drama.
