On the 14th anniversary of the 12 March Gazi Massacre, more than 4 thousand people gathered in order to commemorate those who were killed at the massacre and to demand that those responsible for the massacre should be judged.
The rally was organised by the Platform of Gazi-12 March that was formed by many organisations, among them the DTP , ESP , DHF and Partizan. The demonstrators opened the banner of the united platform written "We haven't forgotten the Gazi Massacre on its 14th anniversary and we will never let it be forgotten" as well as the banners of each organisation. At the first line of the rally, the families and relatives of those who were killed at the massacre formed their column. The mass carried the photos of the Martyrs of Gazi. {divide}
The activities started with the commemoration at the Alibeykoy Cemetery. After that, the mass gathered at Eski Karakol in the Gazi neighbourhood and marched towards the Gazi Cemetery shouting the slogan "The murderer is the counter-guerrilla state".
At the rally, it was demanded that the Gazi Massacre should be included in the continuing Ergenekon trials and those responsible for the massacre, including the Major of Istanbul, the Chief of the Police, the Prime Minister and the Minister of Internal Affairs of that period. Osman Gurbuz, who was arrested within the context of the Ergenekon operations, had already admitted that the order of the massacre had come from the lieutenant general Veli Kucuk.
The militia of our party MLCP and our youth organisation KGO also formed a column at the rally opening a banner written "We will ask an account for the Gazi Massacre". The militants shouted the slogans "Long live Marxist Leninist Communist Party" and "MLCP is the hope and the hope is invulnerable" while marching and they ended their march with the Oath for Revolution.
