On January 30, the ESP published a written statement on the speech of Prime Minister Erdogan he made at the Davos summit addressed to the Israeli president Shimon Peres. The ESP considered Erdogan's act as a tactic for the elections. The statement of the ESP carries the title "Don't make us a show! Cancel the agreements!" and continues as follows:{divide}"Recep Tayyip Erdogan who participated at the World Economic Forum held in Davos, Switzerland left the meeting after having a polemic with Shimon Perez, the President of Israel. Erdogan and his followers who turned the Ergenekon trial into the propaganda of a false democratization have already turned the sensational show at the Davos summit into one of the most effective arguments of their elections campaign as a false anti-Zionism. However, neither the counter-guerilla organisation has been liquidated in Turkey nor the collaboration with Zionism has ended. All open and hidden economic, political and military agreements between the Turkish state and the Israeli state, among them the Agreement of Strategic Military Collaboration between Turkey, Israel and the USA at first, continue. The Turkish state expresses in every occasion that it is a strategic partner of the USA and the Israeli state. We call upon Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his government to cancel all political, economic and military agreements with Israel, instead of making a political investment for the minicipal elections over the blood of the Palestinian people".
The ESP also stated that it will organise an action in front of the centre of the AKP on February 1.
