Safak Textile workers in Sultanciftligi, Istanbul have started a resistance together with Textil-Sen when their bosses took the crisis as an opportunity on January 10 and threw them on the street by telling them "to go on holiday".{divide}

On January 14, Safak textile workers were informed that their bosses were about to transfer the machines to another factory and occupied the factory. The police forced the workers to leave the factory who held a vigil in front of the factory throughout the night. When the bosses didn't come for negotiations, the workers went to Rose Textil to which the subcontractor Safak Textile is affiliated. Here the workers realised an action during which they announced that the representatives of Textil-Sen and Safak Textile workers had been threatened by the bosses this morning during a meeting. The workers declared to determinedly continue with their resistance until they will win and shouted the slogans "Workers unite, end the exploitation" and "The workers are here, where are the bosses?" at the action in front of the factory.
