Protests against the massacre realised by Israel in Gaza continue. On January 4, hundreds of Palestinian friends organised a march at Istiklal Street, Istanbul. At the action organised the day after Israel had started its ground offensive, the mass shouted "Resist Gaza, we are with you". At the action called upon by the Platform Health and a Safe Future for Everyone and supported by trade associations, different platforms and unions, the mass carried flags of the PFLP and Palestine. At the march from Taxim Square to the Tunnel, the mass shouted the slogans "Greetings, greetings, a thousand greetings to Palestine" and "More and more Palestine, more and more resistance".{divide}
BAK activists gathered at Galatasaray Square on January 5 and marched until the Tunnel. In the statement made in the name of the protesters who formed a human chain, the cancellation of all open and clandestine agreements between Turkey and Israel was demanded.
Palestinian friends gathering every day at 7pm in front of the Israeli embassy and consulate since the start of Israel's ground offensive, protest against the Zionist occupation and demand a stop of the Turkish state's support of Israel. Among the demands at the action organised by different Islamic organisations and joined by revolutionary and democratic organisations, among them the ESP , is the closure of Konya base where Israeli soldiers are trained. The mass that shouted slogans such as "Freedom to Ahmad Saa'dat" and "Thousand greetings to the front, let's continue with the struggle" saluted the Intifada organisations, too. In a speech held on behalf of the ESP, it was said that the Zionists at Gaza will be defeated. Advocates affiliated to the Chamber of Lawyers realised a march on January 6 at Istiklal Street wearing their robes. The lawyers emphasized that the violence applied by Israel is contradicting the international law and agreements and called on Israel to stop the occupation.
