More than 1000 people commemorated the martyrs

On the last day of the "Month of the Martyrs", the ESP organised a cultural event in memory of the martyrs of the revolution and socialism in Alibeykoy, Istanbul, in which more than 1000 people participated, among them also several relatives of martyrs and prisoners. The atmosphere in the hall decorated with the pictures of the martyrs was marked by the deep commitment to the martyrs and the promise to continue the struggle for their ideals. Slogans like "the martyrs are alive, the communist fight", "the martyrs of the revolution are immortal" and "hope is standing tall" were shouted frequently with raised fists. After a minute of silence and the presentation of a documental of the history of struggle of the communist, the representative of the ESP hold a speech saying "November means revolution, it means being determinant in the march of revolution". She underlined, that the martyrs have shown that another world is possible and have fought for it and that the values created by them are living in the industrial zones, the resistances, the struggles of the labouring women, the youth and the poor of the cities.
After the speech messages from the prisoners coming from many different jails were read out and in continuation of this, red carnations were given to the relatives of the martyrs and prisoners. The program continued with music and the people expressed their deep feelings of hope and anger by singing, dancing and shouting slogans all together.
During the whole month of November the militias of the MLCP put banners, posters and stickers, made paintings on the wall and distributed leaflets in labouring districts.
