The commemorations of the martyrs and visits to their families continue in the context of November, Month of the Martyrs.
On November 23, comrade Suleyman Yeter, a communist workers' leader, was commemorated at his grave which is in the Graveyard of Alibeykoy/Istanbul. Comrade Suleyman was murdered under the torture of the police on March 7, 1999 while he was the executive committee member of Limter-Is responsible for education.{divide}
The commemoration was organised by the Eyup branch of the ESP and by the Commission of Martyrs' and Prisoners' Families of the ESP. While the ESP activists marched to the grave under the banner written "Suleyman Yeter lives in our fight", they also shouted the slogan "We have promised the revolution to our martyrs!" At the speeches made in front of the grave, the ESP activists and the relatives of comrade Suleyman stressed the following: "We continue to learn from comrade Suleyman, communist leader of the working class, the virtues such as discipline, sacrifice, commitment to one's tasks, commitment in the revolution and socialism".
