On November 11, Mehmet Tursun came to Istanbul with this aim and visited the family of Feyzullah Ete, who was struck dead by the police in the middle of the street. Meanwhile, the brother of Feyzullah Ete, Adil Ete, was imprisoned because he protested against the release from prison of the policemen after the trial against the policemen last week. After this visit, Mehmet Tursun met at the office of the ESP Istanbul with Mustafa Arnavutoglu, who lost his son Aytekin Arnavutoglu due to a police murder. Furthermore, Mehmet Tursun visited the family of Cagdas Gemik, who was shot dead some time ago in Antalya. Moreover, on November 10 the Ete family made an appeal to the public prosecutor's office demanding the release of Adil Ete.
Saying "we will defend our right until the end. Until justice is applied we will continue with our struggle" the families stated that they will made a two day-lasting meeting in order to speak about their problems and unite their demands.
Protests against the police murders were raised also in Adana. Many revolutionary and democratic organisations, among them the ESP, DHP, Partizan and Halk Cephesi made a street action in the Inonu Park protesting against the police shooting Ahmet Yildirim and demanding the cancellation of the Law on Powers and Tasks of the Police. The slogans "End the police terror" and "End the unlimited authority of the police" were shouted at the action.
