Protests against the prison massacre of Ulucanlar continue

On the 9th anniversary of the prison massacre in Ankara Ulucanlar, which the state committed on September 26, 1999 and assassinated 10 revolutionary prisoners and wounded dozens, protests took place in many cities. Among the assassinated prisoners is also the militant of our party, comrade Abuzer Cat.{divide}
In Ankara, the prison committee of the Ankara branch of the IHD organised an action supported by the ESP and many other organisations. In Eskisehir, revolutionary and democratic organisations organised a joint action protesting against the massacre and in Istanbul the prison committee of the Istanbul branch of the IHD organised a sit-in in front of the Galatasaray College in protest of the massacre. In Dersim and Bursa, revolutionary and democratic organisations carried out joint protest actions.
In the speeches made at the actions it was stated, that from the putsch on September 12 until today dozens of prisoners have been killed in those attacks and that the torture of isolation is still going on. They underlined that "the three big prison massacres of 1995, 1996 and 1999, which all took place in the month of September were the signs and the preparation of the massacre of December 19 ". It was told, that at these massacres, 8 prisoners have been murdered in Diyarbakir, 10 in Ulucanlar and 3 in Buca and that the trials opened against the soldiers and guardians, who took part in the attacks, ended under the pretext of statutory limitation and against the real responsible ones no trials have been opened. The protesters stated that they will not forget these massacres but continue to demand account from those responsible.
