As working without rules and registration is continuing at Tuzla shipyards, Istanbul, and still no measures for work security are taken, work-related accidents murders and death do not stop. With the death of the worker Kemal Turan, the number of workers dying from work-related accidents has finally risen to 100. On May 9, 2008 47-year old Kemal Turan fell from a height of 12 metres while working on a ship called Zeeland. Turan had been heavily injured and died after losing the 58 days lasting struggle for his life.
