The union Limter-Is announced the participation figures of the strike of June 16 at Tuzla shipyards, Istanbul that was carried out with the slogan "for the right of working and living like human beings" against work-related accidents leading to death as well as slavery working conditions.
The union declared that on June 16, 70% of the production was stopped. Despite the threats of the shipyard bosses, despite workers that were taken to their work places by ships over the sea way and accompanied by the police via land way, despite the efforts to give the impression that the strike is unsuccessful by letting the workers taken there work at visible places and despite the anti-propaganda by the bourgeois media, the strike made the production stop at many shipyards. {divide}
