Mayday has been celebrated in whole Turkey and Northern Kurdistan despite all attacks of the fascist dictatorship. The AKP government that declared not to allow the workers and labourers to celebrate Mayday banned the celebrations first of all in Istanbul and Amed and in many other cities. Despite these bans, the workers and labourers went on the streets and were brutally attacked. Many people were injured and nearly 1000 arrested. Even in Ankara, where the celebration had not been banned, the police attacked the masses with gas bombs. Due to the attacks, many journalists were injured, too.
