Two more ''work related murders'' at Tuzla shipyard

In the region of Tuzla shipyard which had become a place of broad actions when 5 workers within two weeks lost their live in September because of work related accidents, two more workers lost their live because of unsafe working conditions. After Fatih Kilic, who had worked at Yavuz Makine, fell from height and died on November 17, Sabri Yanardag, who had worked at Dortler shipyard, lost his life in the morning of November 17 after 18 tons of bloc fell down on him.
On November 20 the trade union Limter-Is organised an action in front of Yavuz Makine where Fatih Kilic had lost his life to protest against the two "murders" that had happened in the last two days in the Tuzla Shipyard Region. The workers opened a banner on which the names of the dead workers were written and the slogan "Butchery or shipyard" and shouted the slogans "Who's turn is it, we don't want to die anymore", "Not a work accident, but a "work murder" and "The day will come when time changes and the bosses will render an account to the workers". The union's general secretary Cem Dinc held a speech in the name of workers and declared: "We know who responsible is for this series of murders. The responsible force for this crime is the system of outsourcing, the system of organising working without rules and the AKP , the representative of the capital system." After the speech the workers marched to Dortler shipyard where Sabri Yanardag had lost his life. In a speech hold here it was emphasized that the incidents happened were not accidents but "murders" at the work place.
