On November 12 the Socialist Platform of the Oppressed ( ESP ) realised an action at Taksim Tram Station, İstanbul, to protest the Turkey visit of Simon Perez.
In a statement made it was said: "With his inhuman acts, murderer Perez can not give peace signs to our labourer people and the people of the Middle East. Murderer Perez, get out of Turkey."
The statement also stressed the efforts of Zionist Israel to make the states of the region also join the occupation and stated that the government let Perez and Mahmut Abbas speak at parliament to decrease the rage of the people against the USA and Israel. The ESP activists declared that the visit of Perez was realised in connection with the plan fort he Annapolis Conference which is going to be held at the end of November following the USA`s aim to redivide Iraq.
