The second hearing of the murder case of the Armenian intellectual and chief editor of the newspaper Agos Hrant Dink who had been politically assassinated on January 19 2007 in front of the newspaper`s office took place on October 1 at the 14th Heavy Penalty Court at Besiktas, Istanbul. The lawyer of the family Dink Erdal Dogan made a statement in front of the court before the hearing started and said that Ramazan Akyurek, head of the national intelligence, had annihilated all information and documents concerning the murder and by that concealed all evidences. During the hearing different democratic organisations organised an action at Barbaros Square and raised the slogan "We are all Hrant, we are all Armenian" and emphasied that they will continue to watch this case. The mass of 400 people opened abanner saying "We are all witnesses, we demand justice!", In a statement made in the name of the Observation Commission for the case of Hrant Dink it was said: "We are once again here in front of the court to hinder that the murderers will not be able to disappear on the 255th day of the murder of Hrant Dink.
