Ulucanlar massacre in its 8th year

 On the 8th anniversary of the massacre that had been realised by the fascist dictatorship on September 26 1999 at Ulucanlar prison, the 10 prisoners killed were commemorated.
In Ankara ESP , Alinteri, B DSP , DHP, HOC , Kaldirac and Partizan organised a march to Ulucanlar prison on September 26 and condemned the massacre.
In a statement made in front of the prison attention was drawn on the fact that the perpetrators of the massacre have still not been convicted. At the action the mass shouted the slogans "Long live our resistance of Ulucanlar", "Murderer state will render account" and "Inside the prisons and outside, let's smash the cells!". After that the revolutionaries laid down carnations in front of the entrance door and went to Karsiyaka cemetery. At the cemetery the martyrs of Ulucanlar massacre Ismet Kavaklioglu, Halil Turker and Onder Gencaslan were commemorated.
 In Bursa ESP, Partizan, BDSP and DHP organised an action in front of Ahmet Vefik Pasa Theatre and opened a banner on which it said: Buca, Diyarbakir, Ulucanlar prison massacres have not been forgotten and will no be forgotten". In a statement the revolutionaries called on the workers and labourers to join the struggle to repel the attacks that still continue against the revolutionary prisoners in the f type prisons.
In Izmir different revolutionary and democratic organisations gathered at Kemeralti entrance on the evening of September 26. While they commemorated the martyrs of Ulucanlar, they also demanded the conviction of the responsible forces.
In Adana revolutionary organisations realised an action at Inonu Park and opened a banner saying "We have not forgotten the Ulucanlar massacre. We will demand an account".
At the massacre in Ulucanlar the revolutionaries Abuzer Cat, member of our party MLCP, as well as Umit Altintas, Halil Turker, Mahir Emsalsiz, Ahmet Savran, Aziz Donmez, Habip Gul, Zafer Kirbiyik, Onder Gencaslan and Ismet Kavaklioglu had lost their life.
