Raise the solidarity with the people of Tuzla!

 Several solidarity actions took place in protest against the attacks in the district Sifa in Tuzla.
On 12 September, the trade-unions Limter-Is and Deri-Is in Tuzla made a common statement, in which they condemned the attacks. In the statement, supported also by the ESP (Socialist Platform of the Oppressed and the Federation of the Basic Rights, it said "We are fighting for our houses, for that, what we have gained by our work. With our united resistance we will not allow our houses to be demolished."
In the evening of 13 September the ESP, DTP , EMEP , SDP , EHP TKP, ÖDP, HÖC, Halkevleri , DHP, Partizan, B DSP , SODAP , HKM and several other revolutionary and democratic organisations met at the Galatasaray Square with a banner saying "stop the demolitions in Tuzla, stop the police terror" and condemned the attacks in a common statement. At the action, the following slogans were shouted: "Stop the demolition in Tuzla", "Cancel the city transformation project", "the people of Tuzla are not alone", "Stop the demolition terror" and they demanded freedom for the detained people.
At the same evening, the Socialist Platform of the Oppressed (ESP), Partizan and the Front for Rights and Freedoms organised a demonstration in the district of Gazi with a banner saying "We will not allow them to demolish our houses" and greeted the resistance of the people of the district Sifa.
In the district Onur the ESP organised a torch march in solidarity with the people of Tuzla. Through their decisive stand they could impede an intervention of the police and the activists of the ESP said in a statement: "The police thought that they could stop this resistance with tear gas and bullets, but the will of the people from Tuzla forced the police to retreat."
In the district of Istanbul Okmeydani the ESP organised a demonstration in support of the people of Tuzla carrying a banner saying "Yesterday they made the coup d´etat of September 12, today they demolish our houses. The people of Tuzla are not alone."
The Association of the Labourer Women ( EKD ) published on 12 September a statement, in which they exposed the demolition policy of the AKP government and said "In order to show our solidarity with the labourer women we, as the EKD, will be there."
On 14 September, a protest action organised by the Federation of the Basic Rights and freedoms took place in front of the party building of the AKP in Istanbul.
