 While the progressive, revolutionary, Kurdish-patriotic and communist forces' preparations for the election continue, the ESP , which is going to take part in the elections with independent socialist candidates, organizes street courts and parliaments before the election on July 22. In the courts that were organized on the streets of Adana, Izmir, Ankara, Istanbul and other towns, hundreds of labourers raised the demand for justice; and in the street parliaments organized again in the labourer districts the neo-liberal politics of the AKP government, the CHP 's support for coups and the barking of the CHP for war were discussed. The people formulated their problems and demands.
On July 17, the independent socialist candidates of Istanbul joined the street court at Kadikoy Square, Istanbul and convicted the "unknown" killing of intellectuals and the massacres of people as well as the attacks by the new anti-terror law, chauvinist provocations and the responsible forces. Although the police tried to hinder the court taking place by violating the right of the independent candidates to make election propaganda, they had to give up due to the determined stance of the mass.
The 250 people joining the street parliament in Gazi on the evening of July 16 discussed many different subjects from education to health, from the massacre of Gazi to the demolition of the shanty houses, from the labourer women's problems to unemployment and also listed their demands. In Ikitelli, Istanbul, 300 people joined the street parliament on July 15 and raised demands such as the abolition of the Constitution of September 12, the right of education in the mother tongue and houses to live in adequately.
