Fascist attack in Halkali

 Fascists attacked the Kurdish labourers at the TOKI colony in Halkali-Bezirganbahce, Istanbul. When at the evening of 9 July, the DTP (Party for a Democratic Society) wanted to enter the housing estates with their election van, the fascists who gathered in front of housing estate, started to attack the people living there with stones, long knives and bricks. The fascist got into the buildings and broke windows by shouting the slogan „Damn the PKK !". They also injured some labourers. The attacks lasted from 11pm until 3am.
Thousands of Kurdish labourers went on the streets to protest against the attacks and attacked the tanks of the police who had defended the fascists. The mass marched towards the Ulku Ocagi of Halkali, a centre of the fascists. The march was ended when DTP leaders interfered.
The ESP of the quarter Ikitelli, Istanbul, organized a march with torches on 12 July opening the banner „From Halkali Bezirgan to Ikitelli TOKI - We will not give the way free to fascism" and protested against the attack. The ESP raised the call for the fraternity of the people against the provocations and fascist attacks.
Fascist attack in Izmir
In the night of July 11, fascists entered the tea house Sadirvan in Izmir-Bergama, which is mainly visited by Kurdish labourers, under the pretext of the election posters of Mehmet Muhdi Aslan, the deputy candidate for the 2nd zone of Izmir. The fascists tore up the posters and wrote the slogan „Turkey belongs to the Turks" on the walls.
Fascists in Ankara attacked ESP activists
Fascists also attacked the activists of the ESP (Socialist Platform of the Oppressed), who were hanging up posters of Muharrem Demircioglu, the independent socialist candidate of the 1st zone of Ankara and who is also supported by the ESP, in Seyranbaglari, Ankara on 12 July. Four ESP activists got injured. The socialist candidate Demircioglu made a statement on the attack and said: „Against these kinds of attacks, it must be known that we will not step backwards at all from our election campaign or our belief in socialism."
IP attacked revolutionaries in Mamak
 The racist chauvinist Workers` Party (IP) clique that was chased out of the quarter Mamak, Ankara, two days before after their election vans had been attacked with stones, attacked the Workers` Cultural House of Mamak on 12 July with 40 of its people. The IP clique destroyed the house and attacked two ESP activists who had heard of the incidence and arrived at the Workers` Cultural House falling into their trap. The ESP activists were heavily injured. The attack lasted for half an hour and 8 revolutionaries were injured. The IP clique had to leave the quarter. The ESP, HOC , Halkevleri and B DSP organized an action on the same day in front of the Workers` Cultural House of Mamak and called for struggle against the attacks. 150 revolutionaries supported the action and shouted the slogans „Shoulder to shoulder against fascism" and „Tuzlucayir will become a grave for fascism".
The militia of our party MLCP set election office of MHP on fire
In the morning of 13 July, the militia of our party MLCP set the election office of the MHP in Gazi osmanpasa, Istanbul, on fire as revenge for the fascist attacks, supported by the state` s forces, on the Kurdish people, revolutionaries and democrats. Molotov cocktails were thrown into the office which caused property damage.
