The leadership of the Executive Council of Koma Komalen Kurdistan (KKK) declared in a written statement that the organization has nothing to do with the bombing. In the statement it said: "We, the Movement for Freedom in Kurdistan, announce to the public first of all that we have nothing to do with this attack and that we do not approve these kinds of actions. We wish those who lost their life mercy and the injured a speedy recovery." The statement also declared that the chief of general staff Yasar Buyukanit, the president and Deniz Baykal announced the Kurdish people's struggle for freedom as the responsible forces immediately after the bomb exploded and there was still smoke: "It is known that the Turkish state has always put pressure on the USA and South Kurdistan's forces to act against our movement. The recent declaration about the event in Ulus by the chief of general staff shows that our movement is shown as responsible for the attack and has the aim to get the support of USA and South Kurdistan forces for the cross-border operation which has been planning for a long time. The KKK called the Turkish and Kurdish people to act carefully concerning these provocative accusations.
The presidents of the DTP , which Buyukanit showed as responsible, the Socialist Democratic Party ( SDP ), The Party for Freedom and Solidarity (ÖDP) and EMEP organized a press conference at Taksim Hill Hotel, Istanbul declaring that they strongly condemn the attack. In a common statement they said that "The bombing in Ankara, despite of who let the bomb with what aim explode, is appropriate to the sense of all the developments which objectively had started before the first round of the elections and the memorandum on April 27 and which continually escalate to a process of coups. The group called all democratic forces to act against "any provocation and developments that are non-democratic".
