A new link has been added to the chain of fascist massacres in Turkey and Northern Kurdistan on the base of national and religious differences. In Malatya, the office of Zirve Publishing House, which publishes books in the direction of the Christian belief was attacked and Tilman Geske, a German citizen, Necati Aydin and Ugur Yuksel, both of them Turkish citizens were killed. The aggressors tortured them and cut their throats. The former name of the publishing house was Kayra and it had changed its name because of the increasing threats of the civil fascists.
The massacre was protested in Istanbul on the same day through a sit-in action at the tram stop in Taksim. Approximately 400 anti-fascists participated at the action, which was called by different organisations, among them ESP , IHD and others. On the day, when the massacre became known, the fascist aggression was condemned in Malatya trough a press meeting by different organisations.
On 19 April, 350 anti-fascists made a march towards the office of the Zirve Publishing House in Malatya, responding the call of ESP, EMEP , Halkevleri , TMMOB , KESK and Tek Gıda-Is. The slogans "Shoulder to shoulder against fascism!" and "Long live the fraternity of the peoples!" were shouted at the action.
The fascist massacre was also protested in Ankara, Adana, Mersin and Bursa through actions on 19 April.
Socialist Platform of the Oppressed (ESP) made a street action on 20 April in Galatasaray/Istanbul to condemn the massacre. The ESP activists opened a banner written "Turks, Kurds, Armenians, Allevites, Sunnites, Christians! Struggle against fascism!". In their statement, they reminded that those responsible of the murder of Hrant Dink were presented as heroes and they expressed that it was enough to have a careful look at the meetings and the decisions of MGK (National Security Council) in order to understand who those responsible of the massacre in Malatya are. The ESP activists demanded that those responsible of the massacre should be denounced and punished.
