The visit to Ankara by Ehud Olmert, Prime Minister of Zionist Israel, was protested by actions in different cities on 14 February.
In Ankara, the Platform Against Imperialism and Zionism made an action at Yuksel Street, opening a banner "The killer of the Middle Eastern peoples, go home!"
In their statement, the demonstrators protested the meeting of the collaborator AKP (Party of Justice and Development) government with the Zionist Israeli state and demanded the cancellation of all the treaties with Israel.
They also mentioned the visit by Yasar Büyükanit, Chief of the General Stuff of Turkey, to USA and said the following: "Turkish state, as the collaborator and servant of the US imperialism which now searches for an "evidence" to make it the pretext of an attack on Iran after having attacked at Palestine, Iraq and Lebanon, has opened the door for a new bloody bargaining with the Israeli state, the little brother of USA. The visit by Buyukanit to USA is also related with the visit by Olmert to Ankara."
Stating that 18 anti-imperialists were imprisoned after protesting the Turkish states decree of sending troops to Lebanon on 5 September, that the policy of denial and annihilation against the Kurdish people continues and that the Armenians have also been included to the annihilation policy by the murder of Hrant Dink, the protesters emphasized the responsibility of the Turkish state in the massacres in the Middle East.
In Istanbul, anti-imperialist and revolutionary forces made an action with torches in Taksim, with the participation of 100 people. The representative of the Solidarity Association with Palestinian People ( FHDD ) read out a statement here on behalf of the protesters. In the statement, she said: "We do not want this killer, who is a tool of imperialism and whose hands are washed with the bloody aims of Zionism, in our country. We demand the immediate cancellation of all the treaties with Israel and we refuse to support an occupier state." and stated that Ehud Olmert should be judged for all his crimes against humanity that he has committed both in Palestine and Lebanon.
She expressed that the objective of Olmert's visit is to sign common projects with the Turkish state, which is one of the collaborators of US imperialism in the region. She said that the Turkish state wants to sell out the resources of the country to Zionist Israel with the project of Black Sea-Red Sea pipeline, that it demands in change of this the support of Zionist Israel to it for the discussions on the Draft for the Genocide against Armenians and that the other topic of the meeting is the US plan for attacking Iran.
The protesters ended their action by shouting the following slogans: "Killer Olmert go home!" and "The victorious will be the Intifada in Palestine and the resistance in Iraq!"
