Raids of the German state against association of Kurdish immigrants

In the early morning of January, 10 the German police raided 5 associations of the Federation of Kurdish Associations Germany (YEK-KOM) and 25 houses of Kurdish people in the German states of Baden-Wurttemberg, Bavaria, Rhineland-Palatinate and the Saarland. During the raids Ahmet Celik, board member of YEK-KOM, has been detained, windows of the associations were destroyed, all documents, member lists, books, computer and telephones confiscated. It was announced that the raids were carried out following a decision of the court of Baden-Wurttemberg. YEK-KOM and KON-KURD both published a statement commenting the events were they said "Germany tries once more to please Turkey"
