Arrestment and imprisonment attacks against the member of ESP, SGD, THD and DTP

Fascist dictatorship which tries to keep the revolutionary and socialist associations under a continuous threat of arrestment and imprisonment continues its arrestment attacks against ESP (Socialist Platform of the Oppressed) while it has imprisoned one more member of THD (Basic Rights Association) in Dersim. The Ankara Branch of DTP (Party of Democratic Society) is also under the attack of arrestment.
The ESP activist Eylem Irgas as taken under police custody on 22 December in Malatya by the Anti-terror Department within the context of the operation against out party and socialist and revolutionary associations in September, and she was imprisoned with the accusation of "carrying out acts and activities of MLCP". Irgas was imprisoned before with the same accusation and she as released in October of this year. She was already in prison when the events on September which are the pretext of the accusation took place.
On 27 December, Sitki Gungor, the ESP representative in Amed was taken under custody in Erzincan and later he was sent to prison. He was also imprisoned before and he was released last month.
In Adana, a revolutionary whose name is Meral Sahin was taken under custody on 25 December and was imprisoned with the accusation of "being a member of MLCP".
In the district Ula in Mugla, 4 young revolutionaries affiliated to SGD (Socialist Youth Association) were taken under custody on 27 December as a result of the police raids against their houses. They were released on the same day.
In Ankara, one member of SGD was taken under police custody on 26 December while she was leaving the Sincan Females' Prison after she had visited a revolutionary prisoner. A worker of the socialist youth magazine "Ozgur Genclik" was taken under custody while she was leaving the Sincan F-Type Prison after having visited another prisoner. Both were released at the evening of the same day.
ESP protested the attacks with a statement and expressed the following: "We call upon our labouring peoples to fight back the offence policies of the state of last months by going forward on the line of legitimate struggle and to give a democratic struggle for the freedom of our imprisoned friends".
On 28 December, 4 activists of ESP who were imprisoned in Sivas during the operations of 21 September were taken to the court. They were released after 3 months in prison.
The members of the local leadership of DTP in Ankara are being arrested one by one wit the pretext of the activity for the memory of a guerrilla of HPG (People's Defense Forces) who has fallen. 4 DTP members including Fevzi Kara and Deniz Demir from the local leadership of DTP was arrested on 26 December. 6 more were arrested on 28 December.
In Dersim, Ozcan Dutagaci from Basic Rights Association was taken under custody on 25 December and was sent to prison. So, the number of those who have been imprisoned during the operations against this association since 18 December has increased to 7.
