Protests against isolation on the anniversary of the massacre of 19 December

 On the anniversary of the massacre at twenty prisons on 19 December 2000 in order to put the revolutionary prisoners to F-Type isolation prisons, protests against isolation have been organised in many cities of Turkey and Northern Kurdistan.
On 17 December, the revolutionaries protested the attack of isolation cells and the arrestment and raid terror on the basis of the Anti-terror Law by a protest meeting under the slogan "The responsibles of the massacred of 19 December should be judged!" At the meeting that was organised by the Prisoners' Relatives' League (TUYAB), Socialist Platform of the Oppressed ( ESP ), B DSP , EKD , Odak, OMP, HKM and Partizan, the demand that "3 doors and 3 locks should be opened" was raised.
TUYAB take its place in front of the column of marchers with the banner "Long Live our resistance of 19 December. We did not forget the massacred on 19 December, and we will not let it be forgotten". ESP opened three banners with the slogans "Stop the isolation terror! 3 doors and 3 locks should be opened!", "We will ask account for the massacre of 19 December!" and "Behic Asci, Gulcan Goruroglu and Sevgi Saymaz are on death fast . Their demands should be accepted".
 In the speeches, the demonstrators mentioned the following words of Bulent Ecevit, Prime Minister of that period: "In order to carry out the IMF programme, we have to solve the problem of prisons; we have to seize the control of prisons again." The speakers stated that the massacre of 19 December was not conducted only against the revolutionary prisoners, but it was also a total attack against labouring people and a common operation of the imperialist reaction and collaborator rulers. They said "The human rights concept of the European Union is isolation in F-Type prisons and that of USA is Guantanamo and Abu Graib.". They informed that Erol Zavar, Mesut Deniz, Yasar Ince, Kemal Erturk, Gokce Otlu are kept in F-Type prisons despite that they suffer from fatal illnesses and they expressed that Lawyer Behic Asci, Gulcan Goruroglu and Sevgi Saymaz are on death fast against isolation at prisons.
Protests against the massacre in labourers' districts
 In the labourers' districts of Istanbul, such as Okmeydani, Gazi , Esenler, Esenyurt, Alibeykoy, Umraniye, Gulsuyu and Sarigazi, the massacre against prisons was protested on 19 December. While the gendarmeries attacked at the action in Sarigazi and took 30 revolutionaries under custody, the revolutionaries clashed with the police in Umraniye.
