On 18 November, the police attacked to the ESP members who were selling the Atilim Newspaper on every Saturday in Yuksel Street in Ankara. 6 of the ESP activists are taken into police custody while also selling the Toplumsal Demokrasi Newspaper, in order to show their solidarity with the Gundem Newspaper that was banned for 15 days. Following the detentions, while the readers of Halkin Sesi newspaper continued to sell the Atilim Newspaper, various revolutionary and democratic organisations also condemned the attack via press statement. The detained people who were released a day after announced that they suffered from torture under police custody.
