The RTA/S (Union of African Workers-Senegal) sent us a message to express its solidarity with our party. The following words took place in the message which was sent in the name of National Coordinator of RTA/s: "Dear Comrades, We have been informed by the Turkish state attacks against the MLCP party, revolutionaries and socialists all over Turkey and Northern Kurdistan.
While the attacks against the party and revolutionaries continue in the form of raids and police custodies against socialist people and newspapers, trade-unions and mass organizations, many campaigns and activities of solidarity and support are carried out inside and outside the country.
We anti-imperialist forces, members of RTA/S -Union of African Workers, condemn the recent arrests and imprisonments of revolutionaries, progressive journalists, writers, radio-workers, intellectuals and trade-union leaders. In solidarity, we join our voices and efforts with the campaign of the intellectuals, journalists and newspapers workers to denounce these attacks.
We, further, condemn the extra-judiciary murders of anti-imperialists activists being carried out as part of exercising of this New Anti-Terror Law, which in itself is a terrorist law.
Many intellectuals, journalists and writers from Turkey and Northern Kurdistan give support to the newspapers which were raided by the police, whose computers and all documents were confiscated and whose workers and editors were imprisoned, in order to show that these newspapers and mass organizations are not alone.
We are so troubled by these attacks against progressive forces in the name of Anti-Terrorist fight. We strongly denounce these raids against revolutionaries and socialist newspapers. We express our solidarity with the just struggle of the Turkish and Kurdish people. It is clear to us and to all reasonable people that they are right to fight in defense of the rights of all oppressed and exploited people around the world who face similar repressive laws. All of these Turkish and Kurdish progressive forces are fighting the same fight as us, in Senegal-West Africa-, and we stand with them to defeat reactionary forces there, here and everywhere.
It is without doubt that we will win the fight just because we are right and they are wrong, we are moving forward and they are moving backward.
We will do our best to inform people, to raise their awareness by developing actions of solidarity with the Turkey people."
