The anger and solidarity actions against the police raids to the socialist newspapers and institutions and imprisonment of their officials, are still continuing in four corners of Turkey and Northern Kurdistan.
Another voice against the state-terror has come from the democratic women's organisations. Through actions on 2 October in Istanbul and Eskisehir, the raid, detention and imprisonment attack on the Labourer Women's Association were protested. The participators in the both actions have also demanded the immediate release of EKD President, Cicek Otlu.
Women from DKH, DOKH, Rainbow Women Association, Ozgur Kadin, Cagri magazine, DTP , EHP , EMEP , SDP , IHD and Halkevleri came together under the banner "Repressions, Detentions, Imprisonments cannot intimidate women" in the Galatasaray Square of Istanbul/Taksim and read out a press statement.
The Eskisehir Democratic Women Platform have organised a press meeting under the banner "EKD is not alone, we were, we are, we will be" in front of the Adalar Migros.
In their statement, they denounced the state-terror on the EKD and said that these attacks are not only target the EKD, but all women. They also demanded the immediate release of EKD President, Cicek Otlu. In the action, the following slogans were shouted: "Cicek Otlu must be released", "TMY must be abolished" and "Long live the women solidarity".
