On the 13th of September, the bureaus of Ozgür Halk ve Genc Bakis magazines raided by the police and 7 people are being taken into custody. The police seized all books, magazines, documents about the subscribers and accountancy, and computers. 7 journalists who were taken to the court on 16 September are now being sent to prison.
They show the new TMY as the excuse for the raid and imprisonment decision. Ozgur Halk newspaper was closed-down for 1 moth period in the past month also.
In their statement regarding the subject, the Ozgur Halk and Genc Bakis workers have condemned the attacks in the framework of TMY on the revolutionary, socialist and patriotic press, and called for solidarity.
