Regarding our duties on the international arena, our 3rd Congress, which organized on 3-18 April 2002, was determining following two duties:

"In our day, determinately developing the international unity of the revolutionary organizations those who are communist and open to communism is an urgent task. Today, the international unity can only be achieved by developing the international action of the proletariat and peoples, and by acting with the perspective of building ideological and organizational unity".

"Beside the proletarian international unity, the communist parties, groups and trends are obliged to set relations with all parties, organizations and movements to form international anti-fascist, anti-imperialist front or unity; they also obliged to set relations with writers, journalists and scientists those who are coherent and stable in their attitude against imperialism and fascism".

This was the directive of the 3rd Congress of MLCP that has been given about the international activities. The MLCP, which founded in September 1994, is relatively a young party. Its activities on the international field were not at the level they should have been. On the other hand, the parties, groups who were considering themselves as communist, Marxist-Leninist or Marxist (according to their own criterions) already had formed their own internationals and anti-imperialist fronts.

However, there are numerous parties who are not taking part in such organizations. While the process of unification of organizations, which are similar to each other, continues, on the other hand, there are so many parties and organizations who doesn't know each other, know very little, quarrel with their internal problems, couldn't politically and theoretically overcome the near past (disintegration of revisionist bloc) and, because of this, are in a transition process.

Moreover, there were other reasons which were making the situation difficult and complicated. Firstly, there wasn't any step being made for the realization of the organizational unity of the international communist and workers' movement since the dissolution of the 3rd International. Secondly, the distortion of Marxism-Leninism by the Soviet modern revisionists which seized the political power in the 20th Party Congress in 1956, and their destructive and divisive role in the international arena. Thirdly, not making steps toward realization of organizational unity of the international communist movement because of ideological differentiations between SU-China+Albania and later as SU-China-Albania. Fourthly, the disintegration of the Revisionist Bloc and social imperialist SU in the period of 1989/1991. This disintegration and anticommunist attacks (socialism has died, the world of theories became history, etc.) which extraordinarily intensified as a result of disintegration by the imperialist bourgeoisie have caused development of hopelessness, political, theoretical and organizational liquidation among the numerous parties and millions of toilers.

We started publishing our bulletin in the consciousness of such historical and political conditions. In our first issue dated September 2002, including the announcement of the directive of our 3rd Congress which we have mentioned above, we also announced the aim of our bulletin in following words:

"Every single element of the international communist movement, the communist parties, groups, movements or the individuals do not know the reality of Turkey/Northern Kurdistan or understand it wrongly. The fundamental aim, in which we have already been delayed in doing it, of our bulletin is to introduce the class struggle in our country to the international communist movement. It is the most natural right of the international communist movement and communist parties to know that, because of its level of thought and energy, our party is the organizational expression of world working class, toilers and oppressed people in our country".

Our bulletin is not an organ that deals with the theoretical questions. But it is an informative organ that aims to inform international communist movement on the international developments, the class struggle in our country and the place of our party in this struggle. Therefore, in our already published 12 issues and 3 special issues, we have dealt with the major problems of the class struggle in our country and of the international developments. Because we aimed to reach every single element of the international communist movement, we are publishing our bulletin in five languages (Turkish, English, German, French and Spanish) without any delay. Also, in the future, we are aiming to publish it in Arabic.

Our one year informative activity has reached the end of the introduction stage. Now we have entered into a situation where we would increase our activities to meet with all other organizations to discuss urgent problems of the international communist movement and class struggle. Nevertheless we will continue to do our informative activities. Of course we have seen so many parties up to now. But we can't be content with our continuing relations. So, our bulletin and Red Dawn, the theoretical organ of our international work, which we will start publishing it again in coming weeks, will be the important parts of our activity on this field.

The evaluation of the 2nd year will be the evaluation of 'how far did we go'.
