The December 19 , 2000 , the date of one of the most bloody prison massacres and glorious prison resistances, has been written with blood and fire on the history of revolutionary struggle in Turkey/Northern Kurdistan and the world. On December 19, 2000, the fascist dictatorship assassinated 28 revolutionary prisoners, crippled dozens of prisoners and took them away to the F-Type prisons by an operation, which started simultaneously in 20 prisons. The massacre of December, 19 has been committed as a part of a broad concept aiming at containing the struggle of the working class, the labouring masses and the Kurdish nation, to take the streets by taking the prisons and to take the masses by taking their leaders as hostages. Meanwhile the revolutionary prisoners were taken away through the massacre to the EU-made-F-Type prisons, the massacre with its brutality, its unlimited violence, had at the same time the aim to create an atmosphere of fear and helplessness in the whole society.
The revolutionary prisoners responded the attack with resistance. The death fast wrecked the plans of the state to force the prisoners to give up. It has been shown that also in the F-Type prisons the tradition of the resistance and not giving up continued and that in these cells, named as death cells, live, production and political and theoretical work is springing up in some way. This became a great ideological achievement of the legendary death fast.
But the task to fight back the F-Type Isolation attack also physically/politically still remains at the agenda of the social struggle.
This topic, which never was cancelled from the agenda of the prisoners´ relatives and the revolutionaries opened a way to go forward, also combining with the struggle against the terror of the anti-terror law and against the wave of attacks of the fascist dictatorship, in forms of picking up of the demand "open 3 doors and 3 locks*" by broad stratums of the society again in the last months and in the form of actions, which increased around the anniversary of the 19 December .
After the September-attack against our party and revolutionary and socialist organizations we can see, that the still weak but developing line of the united revolutionary resistance seized a broad front of people, from intellectuals to journalists, from trade-unionists to different mass organizations and it also comprises the struggle against isolation.
The death fast of the lawyer Behic Asci, Gülcan Güroglus and Sevgi Saymaz, which took the hurdle of 250 days long ago, plays an important role for the increase and sensitization for the struggle and for impeding that this struggle would be driven out from the agenda.
On December, 7 the fascist dictatorship attacked the Association of Basic Rights, TAYAD (Association of Solidarity of the Prisoners´ Relatives) and the magazine Yürüyüs under the pretext of a campaign launched against degeneration in the districts of the labourers of Istanbul and detained many persons. The operation was an attempt to paralyse the forces in the run-up to an operation against the death fast of Behic Asci which could react at a possible attack. This attempt ended, also under the influence of the line of the united revolutionary resistance, which developed against the September-attacks, in some districts with barricade resistances against the forces of the police and this resistance resulted in an interruption of the attacks against some associations and the forces of the sate had to withdraw before having finished their work. Thus, a possible operation against Behic Asci could be stopped, even if only temporary and new posts of struggle have been won. On the anniversary of December 19, a phase of action developed reaching from lawyers demonstrating in the streets with their robes up to street actions and meetings. One of the main demands of this phase was "open 3 doors and 3 locks". The attack of the December 7 and the impatience of the state in the labouring districts against the actions on the occasion of December 19 were a sign showing that the state is pushed aside by the struggle against isolation.
On the other hand, the fascist dictatorship broke its long-lasting silence and made for the first time a statement concerning this topic. The statement did not come from the Minister of Justice, as the families, lawyers and democratic mass organisations had expected, but from Kenan Ipek, chief responsible of the prison administration. He explained that the demand to "open 3 doors and 3 locks" is not acceptable. Thus it became clear once more that they want to go on with the solitary confinement. This statement is characterized by wanting to break the growing struggle against isolation and the developing hope and by being a first statement, which shows that the state has been pushed aside. The fact, that they will not abandon the policy of isolation easily is a situation to be seen for six years.
The revolutionaries and communists are going forward on the line of solidarity, which developed against the terror of the anti-terror law, with the slogan "no to isolation terror" without relinquishing their hopes

* The demand „open 3 doors and 3 locks" is raised united by the communists and revolutionaries of Turkey and Northern Kurdistan, especially during the period of the death fast in 2000-2002 but continuing also until today. It has been picked up nationally and internationally in progressive circles and turned into the general slogan of struggle against isolation. It demands, that the doors between threi isolations cells should be open during the day in order to give the prisoners the chance to communicate.
