"Yet, the sleeping heaps

of the proletariat, who is under the shake of economic depression that is being heard,

will awake like announcement of the doomsday and the bodies of

assassinated fighters will be revived and are going to ask account from those being cursed. The growl of the volcano is still in underground, but it's going to blow tomorrow and will bury all of them into the red-hot lava flow." (K. Liebknecht; "Despite to Everything)

The concept of "another world is possible", which is used frequently in our days, is being emptied and made the slogan of reformism and pacifism. The alternative that has been wanted to be erased on the consciousness of the working class and toiling masses is this: Socialism or barbarism! It is the socialism that shall be erased on the consciousness of the working class and toiling masses, but on the other hand, the reformed capitalism is shown as the alternative of capitalist reality! The following is the thing that has been understood from the slogan of "another world is possible": struggle to reform capitalism instead of the imperialist globalisation!

The alternative was announced about 85 years ago by the prominent leaders of the German and world working class, Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht, who were bloodthirstily killed by the German monopoly bourgeoisie through direct involvement of the social democrats.

The commemoration marches that organised every year for their remembrance have become traditional in Germany. On one hand, the state forces and, on the other hand, the revisionist circles try all type of methods and ways to destroy the militant content of the commemoration and turn it into a funeral ceremony.

The revisionists are doing everything to make these two leaders a symbol of class conciliation, reformism and pacifism.

What is being wanted to be forgotten is their crying out saying socialism is the only alternative of the capitalist barbarism.

They are the symbol of anti-imperialist struggle, this is the thing what is being wanted to be forgotten.

What is being wanted to be forgotten is their unyielding stance against the imperialist war.

What is being wanted to be forgotten is their unyielding attitude and struggle against opportunism, chauvinism, revisionism, militarism and warmongering.

What is being wanted to be forgotten is their determined defence of the organised struggle against the capitalist barbarism and for socialism, and their struggle of forming at first Spartacus and later the Communist Party of Germany (KDP).

The imperialist globalisation is taking humanity to barbarism. The imperialists have turned the whole world into a war-zone for their own interests. The neo-liberal attacks, cuts on the rights, increase of the exploitation, oppression, unemployment, privatisation and occupation of other countries are showing us what imperialist globalisation is giving to humanity. In these conditions, Karl's and Rosa's struggle for socialism and against the monopoly capital; putting socialism as the alternative against the capitalist barbarism, gains more importance.

We are learning from them that one can not struggle against the imperialist war and militarism by reformist and pacifist understandings.

Defending Rosa and Karl means defending the organised struggle of the world working class against world reactionaries.

Defending Rosa and Karl means defending the international organisation of the revolutionary forces against imperialism and all types of reactionaries.

Defending Rosa and Karl means opposing the class conciliation, opportunism, chauvinism and militarism.

Rosa and Karl are the sole alternative of imperialism, reformism and pacifism. Because Rosa and Karl means struggle for socialism.
