On 12-16 November, the second European Social Forum organised in Paris. Nearly 900 people have spoken in the conferences, seminars and work-shops counted with the number of 625. Spreading activities into different regions of Paris and organising some of the meetings in distant places far away from each other, obviously were serving to obstruction of the participants' common movement and to give an untidy view. It seems that the organisers have taken lessons in the past meetings and therefore, this time, mostly were able to stop in "democratic" way "outsiders" to take word and opportunity to express themselves. The organisers; the reformist and pacifist elements, those struggling for "another world is possible" and "another Europe is necessary" within the capitalist-imperialist system, did not want to be disturbed in expressing this understanding of themselves and directing masses towards the change within the existing system.

The pacifist and reformist forces dominant in the Social Forum have again called upon ten thousands to reform capitalism. They wanted a Europe against war and a Europe in peace. They almost announced "war" against neo-liberalism. They mentioned about a Europe where "social and democratic rights" are prevalent. Without touching the capitalist system which rises upon the capital's mentality of profit, it was demanded to oppose capital's "mentality of profit". They have talked about struggle against racism and discrimination.

The disturbance of the organizers because of the some developments was also evidential. It wasn't somebody else then B. Cassen, the chairman of Attac-France, who defended that the street and Anti-War movement is radicalising the understanding of Social Forum. According to these elements, the "Anti-globalisation Movement" should have stood away from the radical developments.

The Social Forum, at first, have resisted not to make any statement on the resistance in Iraq. According to the people in Attac, the resistance in Iraq should have kept out of the Social Forum. But, at the end, the view of withdraw of occupant troops from Iraq was accepted.

We can't say this Social Forum was successful when we compare it with the first one. Paris did not had the same mass attendance and enthusiasm with Florence. Moreover, there wasn't any openness like the first one in the second. The pacifists and reformists leading the Movement had already taken their measures in order to make oppositions, revolutionaries and communists ineffective in the meetings.

Moreover, there are contradictory things heard in the Social Forum and, in the future, there are possibilities of new discussions to break out within the movement. It is obvious that the ones thinking differently are not intending to act as it happened until now.

MLCP has participated to the Social Forum in Paris by mobilising some of its forces outside the country. It used its right to speak in some areas, but, in general, it has reached about 40 thousand people by distributing leaflets. The message that we have give to ten thousands of people was this:

It is not possible to realize demands -that putted forward- through reformist and pacifist understandings of struggle. The reformism and pacifism, at most, serves to the filing of "extremenesses" of the imperialist globalisation, imperialist plunder, war and aggression, and to let millions of toilers worldwide to make peace with existing capitalist system. The imperialist politic is not the expression of the choice of this or that person, this or that international monopoly. Therefore, the change of these politics can only be possible by overthrow of bourgeois system. Another world, another Europe, a peaceful Europe and anti-war Europe can only be possible by struggling against the existing capitalist system. Therefore, alternative of the imperialist globalisation can only be the revolutionary politics, revolutionary action and socialist revolution. This is the message that has been given to the workers and toilers those who are in a search:

The alternative is socialism, not reformism!

Not pacifism but revolutionary struggle!
